When I was younger and living at home, we lived in the country and had them so bad they would keep me up at night...I eventually started having horrible nightmares and would wake up screaming. My dad put out D-con and as one person wrote, they look for water because I got up one morning and there was one swimming in my toilet. Practically scared the $h!t out of me. My daddy came to my rescue and knocked it over the head.

After I was married and in my own house we had them and we got the sticky glue traps. While they're not very humane, they are extremely effective. We had regular traps and D-con out for a while and caught nothing and within 2 hours of having the sticky traps, we caught one. You could try putting it in the attic. Good luck!! I totally feel you pain.

There's only one? Squirrels are a lot bigger than mice. Is it active at night or in daytime? Rats and mice are nocturnal, squirrels not. If there's only one, try slapping the wall hard when you hear it, close to where you hear it; animals don't like that. When I have heard an animal in the wall or ceiling, this has worked, and I have not heard them again. (With the ceiling, I hit it with a broomstick). Most of the time, though, rodents in the walls are quiet, so I wonder why yours is so noisy or if it is something else.

This is gross but it works wonderfully. I had the same problem about 2 years ago when I moved into my place. If you get D-Con mouse and rat poison and follow the directions it will get rid of the mouse.

Here's how and this is the gross part: The poison makes the varmin really thirsty so they seek water. They will leave your place and sometimes (as with me) will die in your sink, tub, etc. But they will die. One of my tenants complained to me about 2 days after putting out the poison that he had dead mice all over his apartment.

It does work and I haven't had a mouse problem since.

I think you should gas him out (or to death). While he's dieing listen to where he is and then cut that part of the wall out and take him out.

maybe you could contact animal control if there's more than one and they could solve this problem for you.
