This is the third question i have asked. If anyone knows anything better to do, please say so. I have been to the hospital 3 times with my kids and they just gave them an IV for about an hour and sent us home with some super strong nasea medication and some of those suppositories. None of them are getting better. I have my mom and brother over here to help me with my five kids. Please help me! They all still have the IV tube in their arms so we can go back and get more treatment, but the doctors won't keep them at the hospital overnight. I have a feeling we will be back at the hospital tonight, though. Thanx for all your help!

It is now 1:58 pm on wednesday, They are all slill throwing up, and now they all have diarhea and fevers. the hospital said to keep 1 teaspoon of water in them every half hour. But every time food or water even gets to thier stomachs, it comes back up and so do the screams, tears, and more to deal witt. I tried confining them to either the bathrooms, kitchen, or couches so that they have their space and cleaning is easyer. Since they all have not been able to keep any of the things suggested down, I am looking for more answers pleas.

What was the last thing they ate? Anyway, ginger ale is great for nausea. All 5 of them at the same time? Poor kids! I think they might have gotten some kind of food poisoning. Did the doctor check for a stomach virus? It sounds like something they ate. I would take them back and demand more tests. You have to worry about dehydration and loss of electrolytes. Will be praying for your kids! Hang in there, mom!

If the tests are negative, then whatever caused it has probably passed. The doctor can give you something like promethazine (Phenigrin) to stop the vomitting, and they'll sleep great (and I'm sure you can use the sleep too)! Next time when they first have symptoms, try brewing strong green tea (half the water directed). Green tea has astringent and antibacterial properties. Just don't let the leaves sit in the water longer than 3-5 minutes. It only gets bitter which may make nausea worse.

my Daddy boiled some rice and got this slimy gruel (that's what I called it !), that came out of the rice and he told me to drink it. I was on my way that moment to go back to the doctor. I went, and by the time I got there I was better ! The Dr. had me on antibiotics which started eating the lining of my stomach. I couldn't even take aspirin and a coke. i wish I knew how Daddy made that stuff. Maybe someone out there knows about old home remedies and knows what I'm trying to explain to you. All I remember was it was the "juice" from boiling rice. You boil it long enough to make the rice water thicken. Discard rice.

My daughter had the barfs for 3 days, couldn't keep any thing down for the 3 days. And old lady told me to give her ginger ale, and drink it in tiny sips. It worked!
My dad swore by peppermint tea. It always worked on him.
Good luck.

if you can, try this on one of the children, see if it helps him. if it does then get the rest to try.
buttermilk..get them to drink just 1/4 cup or so..i have seen this work with stomach sickness of all kinds, even diarrhea. its suppose to replace the bacteria /enzymes in the stomach.
sounds like you have your hands full with that many kids, let alone them being sick..i really hope this works

How long have they been sick? I wonder if its food poisoning?
I've been told that coke or cola syrup helps. I've seen it at a drug store chain.
the BRAT diet is supposed to help when you are sick. It stands for eating either bananas, rice, applesauce, or toast.

Depending on how long they have been sick, I would go back and demand they run tests for bacteria. They could have eaten something or come in contact with something that could be fatal.
