That is quite rude of them, get a bunch of english speaking people and you will see they will start speaking english only.

That is for the very reason that I learned to speak it. I was tired of ppl talking around me and me not understanding what they were saying. Any way you look at it...it's still rude. Now when ppl speak Spanish around me I don't let them know I do unless necessary.
But believe me, there have been times that I wished I wouldn't have bothered, cause some ppl can be really cruel when they think you don't know what's going on...

I don't think your friends have any respect for you at all. They are so disrespectful. They could talk bad or something rude about you but you never know!
Well, since you are ready learning Spanish, try harder at it. Or if you can't, ditch them. They and you can understand at least 3 languages, why they use the language that you are not good at the most to talk? Man!

You've made it hard as to how to answer your question. How many of these friends are there and where your at.
But if it were me, I would talk to them all and explain the situation to them all that your feeling left out because of this language barrier and you would appreciate it if they would make every effort to help you out by them speaking English only when your with them. If they fail to do so, if it were me I would find some other friends.

you could always, talk to them, about and let them know how u feel about. or u can do what i do to the Spanish Friends at work, when they talk Spanish when i am around, tell them to speak English so i can here what they are saying. but i can understand a little so they so if they are talking about me i know. they taught me some Spanish, and when i use it they are surprise. so good luck.

They're more comfortable speaking in their native language. Since you have so many Spanish speaking friends, why don't you learn Spanish? I'm sure they'd be thrilled if you do!
(Unless they really don't like you and they're talking about you.....)

You should either ditch them or IMMEADIATELY start learning Spanish without you letting on at all that you are learning it! This way , they think they are safe to talk about you like you are not even there, but you will know if/ what they are saying about you!!!

Ignore their rudeness and take a Spanish class. Then you'll know what they're saying - and realize that they are obviously talking about you.
