Who cares if the police station is 7 minutes away. How are they going to know if you're tied up in the hotel room. How about meeting for dinner...in a public place?!?!

That is not safe! It wouldn't matter if you were even 1 minute away from the police station.
If you're going to meet someone, take friends, and meet in a very public place. A hotel wouldn't be such a great idea.
If he gets angry that you don't want to meet at the hotel, then you probably don't want to even meet him!

Stupid idea, don't do it. Seven minutes is a lifetime when seconds can count. Meeting at a hotel is an obvious sign of what he wants, and you should not show up. Erase his email and forget him.
If you do agree to meet someone you met over the internet always do it in a very public place, such as a mall or restuarant or theatre.

NOT in a hotel! That's ASKING for trouble!!! What if he tries to RAPE you or something! Don't do it! Meet somewhere like a mall, or maybe a restaraunt. Anywhere where you can really get to know a guy without being in danger! Consider this a FIRST date of sorts. Go to a movie, or go bowling. Maybe a bar? Who knows, just most definitely NOT a hotel. Remember, this is your FIRST time meeting this person! handle it like you would if you were dating someone you didn't know! Go on dates first....many first...

Don't go!!! You have to watch the news more often, why a hotel?
If you want to met him go to a mall where there are hundreds of cameras and don't go alone, go with friends that see him too and let others know where you're going (parents or friends).
It's good to meet people but the risk you might take just seems too big, be very careful.
Good luck.

No, if so you'll probably be on Nancy Grace soon! 7 minutes, 7 hours, it's all irrelevant if you're in a room with someone who can overpower you. Why would you meet a stranger at a hotel anyway?

You don't know who this person really is if you met them online. People can type anything into the keyboard. They tell you what you want to hear. I would cancel and try to find someone to talk to another way. That is way too dangerous.
