high heels with a platform don't hurt as bad because it's less of an impact on your foot but basically yes, but after a time you get used to it. i haven't tried the insoles but they are recommended in the fashion magazines i subscribe to ( elle, in style, etc.). i guess ya gotta ask yourself- do you want to look good or feel good?

Im interior the shoe company and what i understand is while you're searching for for womens shoes in length 3 you have a situation because it is going to be very difficult to discover. they initiate from length 5 interior the US. the two length 4 or 5 i think of in uk. For childrens Walmart, Payless etc have thick 2" heel shoes. in case you hit upon shoes with a platform too which could make you taller.

Not neccessarily. I love kitten heels, they are very short heels and they are always comfortable. I think when you start getting up to and past 4 inches, the balls of your feet will probably get uncomfortable if you are wearing them for awhile.

the ones that are uncomfortable are the ones that have very thin hard soles where the balls of your feet are - ie the ball of your foot almost touches the floor
try getting ones with slightly higher padded soles

yes usually so. you can by inserts for thefront there padded but they come off in time and are more of a nusance as they don't stay in play so you end up ripping them out and going solo
