Pocket bikes are legal everywhere, but not on the road! They are dangerous, dangerous machines, and I wouldn't dream of being on the road where my head is at the headlight level and most of my body is at the bumper level of cars. Off-road, or on a track, they can be a lot of fun, but they are not transportation they are toys.

In North Carolina, a 2 wheeled motor vehicle is seen a motorbike if the engine displacement is over 80cc and its desirable velocity is over 20 mph. in spite of if it is under that, it is seen a moped. As for using one at age 14 on public streets.......it is illegitimate by way of fact it remains seen a motorized motor vehicle and you should be a minimum of sixteen years previous to function one. Operation of such motor vehicle on a sidewalk is illegitimate.
