I had a baby 11 wks ago and started on the pill Sept 10th. My period started Oct 5th and ended Oct 7th in the evening. I was on the pill where you only have a 3-day period. Anyway, on the 7th that evening my fiancee did a little inside. I got scared and started my pill that night even though I wasn't supposed to take it until the 8th. Do you think I could be pregnant?? I am still taking my 2nd month of BC pills. Also, how long does it take for a test to show positive?

A pregnancy test usually gives pretty accurate results 12 to 14 days after conception. And yes there could be a chance you are pregnant. Some women tend to be more fertile after the birth of a child. I got pregnant 6 weeks after delivering, found out at the appointment I had to begin the pill again...go figure. If you want results sooner than a blood test at a doctors office is the way to go. Good Luck..

It takes a full month for most birth control pills to take effect, and even then it's not 100% effective. If you really don't want to get pregnant again, have him wear a condom too, or get a diaphragm. You need more than one form of protection in case one of them happens to fail.

Some over the counter pregnancy tests can tell you the week after your first missed period. The best test is a blood test, which can tell you within the first week or two after conception.

HIGHLY UN-LIKELY.....a femlae can only fall pregant for approximately 4-5 days a mnth....and it is usually around 10 to 14 days FROM the FIRST day of your period...it Very highly un-likely that you were realesing eggs with the first 7 days of your period!! Talk to a doctor....beside it was the night you finished a period.
Sounds like you need a proper pill to get your cycle back into normal.

It is VERY possible to get pregnant on Birth Control, my mother is GYN and says she sees it happen all the time.

I would seriously suggest using a condom for a while to be safe, I really doubt you want to be takin care of a newborn and a 1 year old at the same time. My moms best friend did that and it was a nightmare

You can make a pregancy test if you dont want to be worried, because now you can get a test showing positive very early.. a day after you miss your period.

I would say definately not, because there was no way you could have been ovulating since you are on the pill.

as long as you took the pills every day you should be fine, just wait and see if you get it again, but I would not worry
