OMG. No, I'm afraid it's not satire, it's serious. But Howind's "lecture" is a compendium of both factual and logical fallacies: straw man; post hoc, ergo propter hoc, etc. And of course it's easy to demonize anyone who holds an opinion different from your own by calling him a liar. Remember, too, there's a thread of credibility to his views because back in the 30s, a movement called Social Darwinism attempted to "improve" the human race by sterilizing those labeled as retarded or otherwise misfits.
I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes of it either. Heard it all before, although not this level of absurdity. Evolution responsibie for school shootings? Ahem. How about easy accessability of firearms?
Oy. What's dangerous, my dear, is that people actually listen to this drivel.

Evolution is not a philosphy. It is a proven scientific process of humans becoming what they are today. We are still evolving, and will continue to do so until the end of time. So no, it isnt dangerous if you dont count the freaks who are too smart for their own good and learned how to make bombs etc.... sometimies a little ignorance might just have been something the workd needed a little more of. Science can be dangerous yes. But not Evolution

Evolution is a metamorphosis in the frequency of alleles in a inhabitants of organisms. It does not consult from the beginning of existence. It does not recommend that any organism is superior to a diverse. If i ought to placed "does not" in ambitious purple letters and underline it that could emphasise it sufficient. It does not remember what the extra youthful-Earth creationist liars say, and that they continuously lie, or something that the different perplexed individual says, those are the data. The accusation the the thought of evolution replaced into in the back of the holocaust is a generic youthful-Earth creationist lie. confident, this is genuine that the Nazis used it in distorted style to partly justify their PRE-present hatred of Jews which suits decrease back hundreds of years formerly every person proposed a coherent concept of evolution. The holocaust might have passed off with out any concept of evolution. I shall circulate away you in looking out the place the hatred got here from. Now it is likewise genuine that distinctive all human beings is superior to different guy or woman human beings. there is completely little question of that. there are a number of human beings i understand who're smarter etc than i'm and somewhat some who're lots extra stupid. once you get slightly older you will comprehend that your self. yet evolution is approximately populations, not persons. No inhabitants of human beings given sufficient nutrition and a suited surroundings are any smarter, more desirable or "extra valuable" on generic than the different inhabitants. contemporary historic previous is exhibiting that. the jap are the equivalent of the different us of a for technologies, artwork, regardless of you like, the chinese language quickly would be and the Indians at the instant are not a strategies in the back of. Frankly, love, compassion and morality are evolutionary adaptions for social animals like human beings and that they exist to a pair quantity in all social animals. Co-operation works only as properly as (or extra valuable than) opposition in many situations. some behaviours can't be tolerated - we call it immorality and if intense sufficient the criminal is imprisoned or in some places accomplished - removed from the team. Animals have not got a popularity for it however the effect is a similar - exclusion from the team and a threat dying from starvation or a predator.

It's called eugenics. There have been many different times where people have tried to create a eugenics movement, and some of them successful. The basic idea is that we should weed out the weak. I think that is what the video is about, but I'm at work and can't watch it right now. It is sort of based on the idea of evolution, but it doesn't have to be. Hitler did argue that the weak should be killed for reproduction reasons. Buy he also wanted to kill them simply because he considered them a drain on society, which is why he also killed those who have no genetic differences (ie paralyzed people).

Evolution isn't a philosophy at all -- it is science.
There is something called "Social Darwinism" which was used by people like the Nazis and Ayn Rand to justify horrible actions. This has nothing to do with evolution -- just the ability of man to justify anything.

Evolution is neither a philosophy nor a "theory". It is demonstrable scientific fact. The only danger involved is the danger of ignorance, amongst people who cling to outdated religious fantasies developed thousands of years ago - in ignorance.

Kent NoMind is actually very important, because he is the missing link in the evolutionary process: he is halfway between animals and plants: a nut that looks like a human.
