Look!, Its crazy from our point of view, but from their point of view, they are still scared of Japan and USA as both the countries invaded Korea. Do u know that USA used more bombs than the total number of bombs used in WWII? Thats why they are so scared and think that they need a Nuke to defend them.
They need a slow change in the system, doing something suddenly would affect the neighboring countries (thats why China & Japan are concerned from both sides). I am just scared that hope they do not think of a revenge and start a war, other than that its okay.. nothing to worry guys!!!

The double standards in matters of who can and who cannot have nuclear capabilities is at the root of the problem. America told the world in 2003 that Iraq had the capability to cause huge damage to the world and it possessed huge arsenals of WMDs now the world knows what Iraq had. Vintage soviet tanks and aircraft and 60s anti-aircraft defences!!
Now N. Korea is the suspect. Iran is still on the agenda, but has been put on the backburner. Even if N. Korea has conducted a nuclear test everyone knows that it will not use nuclear weapons because it will be suicide! They might be years away from a nuclear warhead. They just want to tell the USA do not invade us!
Extend a hand of frienship to the country help its economy and people and see the miracles that take place.

There are many reasons why Korea are showing off their nuclear capabilities...
But basiaclly it kindof forces the USA and U.N's hand into taking them more seriously.
Instead of trying to gain political leverage to get what he wants...he's trying to use a physical presence to barter a better deal with regards to aid...
Also being a nuclear super power puts you in a very elite group of countries. Only rich or rapidly expanding countries like the USA, UK, China & Russia have nuclear capabilities....in the playground of international politics...having a nuke make makes you a little bit harder then the rest of the kids to pick on !
