You will want to buy new rotors and new brake pads for the front of the car. It may also need rear brakes. If you hear grinding from the rear it will definitely need rear brakes and rotors. If no grinding from rear, maybe just brakes pads. They only need replaced on the rear every other time. Rear brakes only account for 40 percent of your braking, 60 percent of the braking goes to the front. Good luck. Forgot to tell you....buy only semi-metallic pads... they will last a lot longer than the organic.

Definitely the brake pads are worn and are bearing down on yor rotors. You need to get your brakes changed, and you may need to resurface or replace your rotors. I had the same problem, and I had to replace both the brake pads and rotors. My negligence got me into a lot of trouble there. If you are tough on the brakes they will deteriorate very quickly. They should last about 2 years. My driving, and probably yours as well will shorten that standard brake lifetime.

Yea, that sounds like the brakes, the shaking generally means the rotors are warped and the noise generally means the pads are in bad shape. I would recommend changing your driving habits (not to be rude) to save yourself money on brakes. try shifting down on long downward grades instead of holding the brakes down the hill to use the engine to hold you at speed(turn overdrive off if it is an automatic, turn back on once you are on areas that don't require you to hold the brake any longer to hold you at speed) of course don't shift down too soon or you can cause some serious damage if the engine goes over speed.

hope this helps

If it is that bad , (and it sounds liek it from your description), the rotors need to be replaced and new brakes put on...normally brakes lasts longer , but it depends on how you drive i go through brakes about every year, rotors and brakes should not be that much
..get your brakes checked every year and you not hav eot replace the rotors

Sounds like you need new pads and rotors again. How much mileage have you put on your car since February of '05? It's not uncommon for those cars to go through brakes frequently if you are hard on them.

Get the rotors turned or machined. While you are at it, get new brake pads too.

if yoy been doing alot of city driving then its time for the rotors to be turned on machined or if they are not machinable then you gotta replace them. its always good to replace the pads when you replace the rotors.
