truth is stranger than fiction. seldom did they come riding down on horse back and jump on the trains but yeah they did. watch the history channel and see the Kenny Rogers show he hosts, something about the Wild West or something but ya they robbed trains alot.

check out history as the very first train robbery was held near Seymour Indiana and the old west outlaws played copycat to the Reno brothers according to local folklore

There were train robberies. The biggest robberies were not that common though. It was mostly small-time crooks looking for a little cash.
But yes, they did happen.

They sure did, they still form posse's and go after bad guys too. I lived in the rural west for a few years and when I met my ex-boyfriend's family they said "Well we heard you were in town, sportin a new woman" and they weren't joking either.

actually yes people did rob trains. in fact i actually have a classmate who is descended from billy the kid.
