I'm having a problem. There's this person who I met couple of weeks ago at a church event that had us staying somewhere for a couple of days. I met this person and we became friends. This person was real cool and we talked and actually became friends who would actually hang out again in the future and not just for this church event. Anyway, I remember the last day of our stay this person acted as if I we hadn't even met. So I kind of felt bad and confused at the time. There wasn't even a "goodbye" or "nice meeting you." or anything like that. It's still hitting me today because I wonder all the time what I did wrong. Can anyone help?

Thanks for your answers so far, guys. Very helpful. This person is on MySpace so I do have connection. The thing is, the person won't reply my messages nor comment me back even after he's accepted me as a friend (on MySpace.)

You didn't do anything wrong.
It's natural to feel confused in a situation like that.
If you have their contact info, you could send them an e-mail and let them know you'd like to stay connected.
Good luck.

Well, It probably wasn't you. It sounds like this person is acting a little immature. If there was no conflict/argument, then who knows why they turned the cold shoulder. It really could be age and gender related too. For example, from what I remember teenage boys were the worst about this sort of action.
Either way, life is too short, you should never take it too seriously because no one ever makes it out alive. Think of them like a brief ray of sunshine that brightened your life for a moment and enjoy that.

Listen you didn't do anything wrong, you were honest and yourself. Too many times I hear the "when I meet the right person I'll settle down" line, and when they're faced with the "right" person they run. Why, because they're not honest with themselves that they're not ready, and insist on you being perfect or jumping through hoops to satisfy their idea of perfection. I know I am recovering from the same thing, I just want to say, keep being yourself, because you are special,to God and no one on earth can so what you were put here to do, and I pray that you be blessed with your mate soon!

The person probably has mental issues. Be thankful that this person is left now rather than if you two connected deeper in the longer run and he/she just left without a word.
Some times when need to take these little situations as blessings.

Talk to them. Ask them what's the deal, and tell them how you feel, and say exactly what you've said on here, to them.
You won't be able to know for sure until you ask them yourself.
Swallow your pride.. put everything like that aside, and see how it goes.. if they continue to do so...that's not a friend. People like this will come and go throughout your live continuously.
After awhile you'll just be able to shrug thing's off, and won't take it personally. Goodluck =)

If you became "friends" you probably exchanged e-mail addresses, phone numbers, physical address or some contact information: Contact this person.

maybe they just wanted someone to talk to while they were there.
in my experience, church people are very two faced. they smile at you and act so sweet, then they gossip you and stab you in the back just because and for no good reason!

don't be hurt. there are all kinds of people out there, and some of them are not very nice. obviously he/she didn't care for meeting you, and it meant nothing. don't be sad about it. move on, that person doesn't deserve to know you.

Maybe the person avoided you to keep from becoming emotional because they were leaving.
