of course ... if you look at the military doctrine at work in the past decade or so it makes alot of sense .... the balkans are an important area for pipeline routes and it is the "gateway" to the middle east .... afganistan was planned way prior to 911 also, or most people just believe that on 912 we just happened to have a huge military force and troops in the area ... wars take months of planning ... and lebanon wasnt about israel ... again, we see the same doctrine at work ... syria and iran are next on the hitlist, so hezbolla which is an extention of iran and heavily armed, is softened up followed by a huge nato troop deployment on the mediterranean "theatre" side along with a large number of ships in position now ... there is currently underway a major buidup on the gulf side as well including equipment which has no use in iraq like minesweeper ships .... yes, the coming war with iran and syria is deliberate as well as iraq was and yugoslavia .... its all part of the same plan imo to control the entire middle east and its oil for both strategic and economic reasons.

I really don't care which side suffered the most, or what the US and NATO's true intentions were, they were late to the party anyways. All I know is that horrific conflict had to come to an end. The former Yugoslavia was a cosmopolitan nation...not some third world jungle country of madmen offing each other with machetes. Think back to what happened over the summer in Beirut...now multiply that by infinity, that right there about sums up what happened in the former Yugoslavia. Those poor innocent civilians lived through a hell that continued for years. Just a few years prior, Sarajevo had hosted the Olympics, and the stadium that had welcomed the world was reduced to piles of rubble, with innocent civilians being shot by snipers as they risked their lives to collect water. I don't care if the US and NATO lobbed dirty bombs or stink bombs into the Balkans to stop that madness. It had to come to an end.

You're absolutely right, but unfortunately nobody has ever really cared about Yugoslavia. I wonder why so many people care about Iraq today, and nobody did about Yugoslavia then. They killed poor civilians because they didn't like the leadership of the country...it's both sad and ridiculous. They bombarded national television because "journalists were under the influence of Slobodan Milosevic."
I cry every time I see the "Sky Hook," because it shows how war destroyed innocent civilians, people whose only dream was to have a basketball court and play.

For the person saying that this is old news, than why do we still have over 10,000 troops in the Balkans after 10 years. What is our time frame to remove troops that Clinton committed? How come what is good for the goose is never good for the gander according to mainstream media?

Actually, we sided with the wrong group. We should have been fighting the K.L.A. They are heroin traffickers for the Taliban (or were)
