It is not difficult to find a friend. Just the right kind of friend. The Internet is packed with some real live crazy people. You have to be careful these days!

It isn't really difficult. I have made a lot of friends from the internet and I have met a lot of them in person. Some groups of online friends of mine plan get togethers and we call each other and stuff all the time.

Some people are fake and just out to hurt others and some are perverts...but a lot of people really are just looking for friends.

Because you can't trust anyone anymore....

If you think the internet is the place to find a friend, you are sadly mistaken. Get out and join some clubs or organizations, you will find someone with the same interests at you have.

Not some perv on the net looking for young boys/girls.

It is rather surprising what can be accomplished when one is truly interested in another. I have made very close friends on line and have had some come to visit.. having a very enjoyable time. Are still my closest friends. You only receive what you put into the effort to make friends.

When making innuendos and inferring sexual activity, you will not make close friends but, may make some enemies.

Because most people don't say who they really are online so you never really get to know a person. People are also paranoid about meeting other people so they are reluctant to start friendships. The internet is a surreal place.

shallowness....people are too worried about themselves to be bothered by having to actually consider someone else...but its not just the net...it's everywhere you go...people are too caught up in their own personal consequence to even realize that there is no meaning in life unless you can put that aside and reach out to someone...theyre happy to settle for their 9 to 5 repetetive routine...rather than take a risk and actually make a difference...it's evolution...when people can actually do that...you might find yourself not alone...admidst world peace...prosperous...healthy, happy and....well...we couldnt have any of that now could we?...and I agree w/ jamie...my myspace is http://www.myspace.com/starider01

There really is no substitute for meeting and making friends the old fashioned way, and that is face to face. People are not always what they pretend to be online.

It's not that hard. Join message boards, you meet a lot of people there. Exchange screenames. I've met a BUNCH of people who've become some of my best friends online. :)
