I have Dyslexia, and I found out when I was in college. There is a lot more to dyslexia then most people know. Best answer, get tested for it. If you're in school, talk to a consuler and tell them the reasons you suspect you my be Dyslexic. They can help. Just remember, whatever the results of the tests, life goes on. You can still do or be whatever you want, it'll just take a bit more effort from you. Good luck.

Are you a picture thinker? Do you have certain talents that are just come naturally to you? Do you have fatigue, frustration, or uncertainty with reading, writing, spelling, or math? If so, are these consistent or do you have good days and bad?
I see Dyslexia as something completely different than many people. Whenever I see an extremely talented person, I now wonder if they are Dyslexic. Dyslexia can be a gift, if the difficulty with symbols and words can be overcome.
Check out www.dyslexia.com - there is a free on-line assessment there. Alternatively, buy the book, The Gift of Dyslexia and see if it explains anything.

One of the first signs of dyslexia is reversing letters and reading backwards..dog for god and tog for got. Writing letters with difficulty is another sign..this is called dysgraphia and is noticible in drawing and writing letters. The earlier the diagnosis the more effective the results. Get tested.

Usually one may not know, but a teacher or parent might notice by looking over homework, writing, or sign that one is reading something backwards.
If one feels frustrated for not understanding certain words that have "b's" and "d's" in it... they one should seek counseling and do a test.
Its very easy to treat, and reverse.

You will need to be tested. If you are in school they should provide testing for you. If not I wouold call local schools and ask where you could get tested for it. Maybe your local Health Department or Dept. of Education. Good Luck.

I have ADHD and i had to get tested. and thats what you would need to do with that as well.. After i found out what my problem was i was able to help myself with my daily life better. I would just call your doctor and say you would like to get tested for it.
