When the Americans dropped the A-Bomb I don't think they realised what they were doing. To this day it has repurcussions...on the environment & also international politics and social culture. Japan is still suffering from the fallout, it screwed the ozone up and has sparked a race of fear to build superweapons that will last decades if not centuries. Put simply...the USA took the meaning of war to a completely new level. America feels like everybody hates on them...so they build even more powerful weapons to potect themselves from anything that isn't a democracy. Small asian countries don't like being threatend and so try to match the americans...

WHY should one country have them and not another they were meant to be a deterrent but it seems to me the countries with the nuclear bombs seem to throwing there weight about and saying who can and who cant how many more little wars can NATO(at the whim of USA) cope with they are over stretched as it is. Get rid of all WMDs or even better get rid of all weapons destroy the factories that make them its a never ending circle. do we make weapons to kill or protect or is it just because those that make them prey on our fears and make millions of $ out of death destruction. and most of these people have probably never been within 50 miles of a battle field but i suppose with the smart bombs they make today future wars will be from the comfort of your arm chair and we wont need armies just an X box or PlayStation

"Nucler"? America used the bomb to end a war, the nut-jobs that want them know only want to start war! Evil leaders will use whatever means to do their evil deeds. It doesn't matter whether we rid the world of nukes, they'll find something else to use!
Why do these dictators have parades showing off their missiles? Doesn't that make you shudder?

Yep the only way to get respect from America is, unfortunately, to possess a nuclear weapon.
