I have Wndows XP. I did not install any programs on my computer then suddenly the clock on my computer started to show different time. Right after that I started to get the message - new program has been installed. Can anyone help me to answer the question?

There is a good chance you may have spyware. If you don't already have anti spyware software on your computers, get on zdnet.com and download a free trial and run it. Good luck.

go the "start", "control panel" then click on "add/remove software". When the box comes up, look for something that you don't recognize and check the date of the software. If you don't recognize it click on it and see if it will give you more information on it.

If there is nothing there, run your spyware and virus program to do a complete scan. Before you do, go to windows explorer, and under "tools", "folder options". When the box comes up click on "view" and scroll down to where it says "hidden files and folders" and make sure "show hidden files" is checked. Then run spyware and virus program. If there are any bugs, the should show. Make sure they are updated to the latest defintions from the website you got them from.
