The way you describe the noise, sounds like rod bearings. This can be caused by low oil pressure ( lack of oil, bad oil pump ), bad bearings or both. The easiest way to check is to look a oil level on the oil dipstick. If it is low and you add oil and the noise goes away you got off cheap. If that doesn't work the motor needs to be rebuilt.

could be the main bearings going out in the engine. what happens to oil pressure when you slow down??? if the oil pressure light comes you have main bearing worn out. it could also be an engine mount broken amoung other things. you need a good mechanic to look at it and tell you what it is .

Your motor may be going to throw a rod, it's possible the fan is hitting the radiator, or the lifters are rattling which means that you may need some oil.

Sounds like your bearings in the engine are wearing out, or you have NO oil in the engine. Check its level. Hope its not the bearings.
