Unfortunately, just because you are ovulating, it doesn't necessarily mean you will conceive. There's always the chance that the sperm won't meet with the egg, or some other circumstances will prevent it. You are just MORE LIKELY to concieve during ovulation. Sometimes, it can take people YEARS to concieve. My husband and I tried for two years before we got pregnant.

Also, sometimes it takes a long time for the birth control to get out of your system if you have been taking it for a very long time. If you have been trying for a year with no luck, you might want to try talking to your doctor about getting tested to make sure everything is alright in the fertility department... and that means you AND your mate. If you really want to concieve, just keep trying! (At least that part is fun, right?) And try not to worry too much because worrying about it can make your body stressed which can make it harder to get pregnant as well.

5 Kids ago I wonderd the same thing. After talking with my Dr about those tests she had told me that it might just take my body some time to produce enough (I believe some type of hormone) Or whatever it is the ovulation tests use. So she told me if Ive figured out how many days it takes till I ovulate according to the months of ovulation prediction test I used start trying to get pregnant a few days sooner then that. You may be ovulating but it's taking your body a day or two to produce the hormone the test uses. Hope this helps!!

It took us almost 5 years to conceive, even with me watching and counting the days of my period carefully. Usually after 6 months-1 year of trying is when the doctor might want to do some tests. Try as best as you can to take the pressure off of yourself. I know that is easier said than done. Also, do whatever you have to to reduce stress in your life (I believe that is what helped me the most!). How long were you on the pill for? If was years, it may take a while for your body to readjust. Check with your doctor.

Well it could be something beyond that. If you really want to have kids, the best way is to not try. That's how the majority of the people got here, it was unplanned. If every pregnancy was planned and so organized there wouldn't be this many people on the planet. If your budget is feasible, go to a clinic. It might be all in your head too, so just take it easy. Maybe you're overwhelmed with the complexities that it's not happening. It might be him or you, it doesn't have anything to do with your health persay. But I would get a second opinion. You can get on fertility drugs if you want to go that route.

Wish I knew. I took an ovulation test, it was positive, and had sex the same day, but I wasn't pregnant. This baby thing is so hard for those who really want to get pregnant. Seems like any 16 year old girl can have sex just once and bam! It has been over a year of trying, no BC, and sex, and still no pregnancy. It sucks to that unless you have money to blow, going to a clinic for help is shot. I even have insurance and they don't want to cover it.

When people tell you to relax and stop trying....listen. I tried everything possible to get pregnant for 2 years with no success. When I finally gave up and accepted the fact that I may never get pregnant, in 2 months I was pregnant. Relax and stop trying so hard. I know it is the most difficult thing to do when you want so bad to be pregnant but it will help. Stress has alot to do with not getting pregnant. Relax and best wishes.

How do you know that your partner is healthy they could be lying to you . The only way to know for sure is to get yourself and your partner tested. If you guys are healthy I myself don't see anything wrong with it. I do not know how long it will take cause it is different for everyone.

Perhaps you need to seek out a fertility specialist. If you are in the military, this is covered by the government.

Those tests show when it's most likely for you to conceive. They don't guarantee conception if you have sex at that particular time.
