a factory 307 had 265 horse power,this is all stock,and the best year for them was 69, they ran the best i had a nova that had a 307 in it ,and it ran real good it was all stock but it had some pep,i own a repair shop,and mechanic for a living i have one or two of the 307,s sitting back in the shop they still run ,pretty good little engines,good luck i hope this help,s.

I've never seen a 307 run as well as 283's, and not much power by the way. My first car was a 68 impala supersport that I put a 283 in because the factory 307 was toast.
