when a guy is married, don't he usually have his ring on his left hand? so what does it mean when he has a ring on the ring finger on his right hand? and how does this work for women?

hey i don't mean to say that the right hand has a ring finger...i just forgot what that finger is called so i used ring finger to described it....my main question is basically: what does it mean when the ring is on the right hand of that particular finger for men? and also for women if you know....thx...=)

I wear mine on the left, because that's the American tradition. It got started because the heart is on the left side of the body, and the ring was put there because of the blood flowing to the heart and the beating of the heart.
Some European and Hispanic cultures wear it on the right, though. I don't know why.

There are some countries where the wedding ring is worn on the right hand. Some of the Scandinavian countries, for example. So the person might be a foreigner.
Alternatively, I know of some widowed men and women who wear their ring on their right hand. They are no longer married but they want to wear it as a memento of their marriage.

could mean two things , he s married and has his ring on the opposite hand or he letting you know he s free, be carefull

if its on his right it might hurt on his left
mine hurts i take it off at my computer at work
