Anything you're proud of. If you're going to school for medicine, for instance, a particularly good biology paper. Maybe an honor you won, a story you wrote, WHATEVER.
Colleges are looking for diversity. That doesn't mean just skin color or ethnic background, it means diversity in interests, diversity in talents, diversity full stop.
Include anything that shows you as an individual, you as a talented person, whatever makes you proud.

Additional info would be any type of information that isn't reflected in your application already. So if you failed a semester of high school and you are normally an A student, you might try to explain why your grades were low for that semester. Your grades could have been low because your grandma died, or your parents got divorced, or you had to get a part time job. Be sure the excuse is a good one. Colleges don't want to hear that you got a D in chemistry because your teacher was incompetent.
Also, if the application didn't give you a chance to talk about all the community service that you do, you could mention that, too.
Basically, this section is your chance to make an excuse for poor performance or brag about an area that you do well in that you haven't talked about already.
If you think you have a high chance of being admitted based on the college's admission requirements, then you probably shouldn't waste the paper. If you are on the borderline, though, it might be a good idea.
Just remember, this section is there to let yourself look better. Don't put any info on there that could be interpreted to mean you are a bad student.

Basically put anything good about yourself that makes you stand out among the rest which would give the university/college another good reason why they should accept you and why they think you would excel at their school which furthermore would benefit them in the long run....

You can put other things you like to do... or if you've traveled to many countries.. or you take care of your 5 siblings b/c your parents don't have time to... or something in your life that greatly affected who you are... or just anything that they didn't give space for that you'd like them to know.. and if there isn't anything, then don't write anything.

personal statement, like what's one of your greatest hobbies and what got you started, what got you stuck with it, why you love it, and why life wouldn't be the same without it. i wrote about music and how my grandma got me started and stuck with the violin, and how i just love it so much now. trust me, it's all total BS, but it's BS that sounds good, and that's what college apps are all about. good sounding BS
