Balance a short rod on your index finger while repeating a sentence, changing hands after rod falls to the floor. Using a stopwatch time how long it takes before the balance is lost and rod falls to floor. Using 20 random sentences of varying length and groups of 5 people ask the participants to repeat 5 questions for each hand. On average a person who is left handed will be able to balance the rod using either hand for longer periods than a person who is right handed.
