Go to any computer console - the same ones you would use to store and switch your pokemon. Save is one of the options available. These computers are usually conveniently placed, both inside Pokemon Centres and within areas densely packed with enemy trainers. You should encounter a save point very early on in the game.

You Might not have a memory card EX.Slot A Or Slot B. When you save it press start and around there is some how to save it remember to say overwrite pick Yes

Obviously you haven't played much pokemon before. In Coliseum, its either on your "pause" menu or in the PC. I believe it is in the Pokemon Centre's PC more though.
