Hi, I heard that first sex can be painful for a woman and that it can be so painful that she can't walk. I'm going to have my first sex, and this kind of thing scares me. Could you please tell me if what I heard is true? If it IS true, is there any way to prevent it? I'm an adult, by the way. Please, this has nothing to do with "adult content". I want to hear what knowledge other women can share with me. Please help me, kind ladies. Your help will be greatly appreciated. If you happen to know any good link which can be helpful, I'll really appreciate it if you can offer it to me. Thanks a lot in advance.

I think the amount of pain partly depends on the size of your hymen. If you have hardly any hymen, it's probably not going to hurt much. But (sorry to be vulgar/explicit) if it hurts a little bit even when you just stick a finger in, it's probably going to hurt a bit more. That was the case with me. I couldn't even use tampons until I had sex because they were too uncomfortable/painful. But even so, having sex wasn't all that bad. I bled for a day or two and had to wear a light pad, and it was kind of sore, but nothing severe. The night I decided to have sex, I almost changed my mind when I first felt the pain, but before I knew it, well, he was in, and it wasn't so bad after that. It still hurt some, but the worst is the first penetration. I almost think it's best to have the man enter fairly quickly (like in a span of 5-10 seconds) so you can just get that part over with.

The first time you have sex probably won't be that pleasurable because of the soreness. But the second time is hardly painful at all (well, I waited a week before having sex again, so I don't know how it would be the next day or anything), and after that it's not painful.

The man's size is another factor. Obviously, the smaller he is, the less it is going to hurt. My first was average-sized (about 6 inches long, 1.5 to 2 inches diameter), just for reference.

If it's painful enough to bother you, take some ibuprofin (Advil or Motrin). It's an anti-inflammatory drug and will help reduce swelling in the soft tissues down there, thus making it less painful.

Make sure you are well lubricated beforehand, and if not, then use some KY jelly or play with your clitoris for a while - otherwise it will hurt much, much more. Even now, if I'm not lubricated, it's rather painful. And if you aren't a non-drinker, have a drink or two beforehand - you won't feel the pain as much then.

Good luck to you. Don't be too worried or nervous - it's really not bad at all. Have fun!

First Sex does not cause that kind of pain. If it did I don't think everyone would be doing it even the pre-teens. There is no pain, and if there was it would be so minor that it is no big deal. Your body was made to have sex. It is natural even though some parents would like you to think it is ugly and it hurts. A woman does not even have to know much about how to do it like the man does. Just enjoy it.
But make sure this is the right guy, don't give yourself freely or to just anyone. It is special and the first time is even more special. Most of us women always envy the first time wanting it and the relationship to last forever. What a dream that was?

You need to have a conversation with your partner and tell him your fears and make him promise you that he will be gentle and take your feelings and your fears into consideration before, during and after you have given him this precious gift to him. Then make sure he doesn't rush and have lots of foreplay and lubricant. The best is K-Y jelly or plain old Vaseline. The only reason you would not be able to walk is if your partner were not considerate of you and treated you roughly and did not treat you like it was your first time or if he were very large and you very small...to an extreme or if you both enjoyed it so much you wore yourself out.The first time is naturally going to cause some discomfort and you will be sore but this will pass and you will be fine. don't worry! So, have the talk, and take it slow and easy. You will have lots of other times to get carried away but the first time should be for you and you can tell him that for me. lol You should have a glass of wine to relax yourself but, don't let him drink a lot! He'll never be able to finish and this won't be good for your problem. Tell him I said that too! Good luck.

Whoever told you sex is painful it is a lie. Sex is pleasure not pain. Don't get me wrong the very first time he puts it in it might hurt a little bit but not as much. After he gets it in and start moving slowly you will start to feel all the pleasures of sex. Tell him to take his time with you. You'll be fine.

it is painful at first and maybe during if the man is large & you are a virgin but it will not be so painful every time...if u r an adult & considering a sexual relationship with someone it can be great if he does not rush things, take it slow and it will be perfect. you may have some bleeding afterwards but that is normal too and should stop soon.
