I think he will definately play in the AL as a DH, but for which team? Personally I hope he comes to the Angels so we can have a shot at beating the A's. Where ever he plays, do you think he will be welcomed there or despised because of his off-the-field controversies?

I thought it was funny how Tim Salmon announced his retirement the same day Barry Bonds announced he'd be returning next season. I always thought Barry would be a fit in Anaheim because they're willing to spend the cash, they're an AL team, and it's still on the west coast.

But anyway, my bet is that he will return to the Giants. First, he's kind of got it made in San Francisco. He's the franchise, basically. They treat him like a king weather they want to or not. He's got that big leather la-z-boy and plasma screen at his locker. He does what he pleases there. Mays and his father were part of the organization there, too.

Earlier in the season when he was looking like a geriatric patient, I thought an AL team was inevitable. But, after watching him the second half of the season, there's no reason why he can't keep playing right field. It's not a lock, though. We'll just have to see what happens.

I don't see him playing for any other team than the Giants. As popular as he is in the Bay Area, he is hated every where else. Yes, it's true he has never been caught using steroids, but face it, he did use them, it was no "flaxseed oil".

No team is going to want to be a part of the circus next season as he approaches and taints the HR record. Even MaGowan, the Giants owner said Bonds will no longer be the centerpiece of the team, and it's time to go in a new direction. He will stay in SF, because he is no longer capable of carrying a team, but most importantly, he's a cheater, and no fan, other than a Giants' fan, wants him on their team. He's a liability and he can't play every day anymore.

I'm hoping the giants resign him, simply because I'm a Giants fan and would like to see him beet Hank Aaron's home run record in a Giant uniform, but he's probably costing the Giant's too much money. I do agree with you, he'd probably do better in the AL as a DH. If that's the case, I don't really care where he goes, as long as he gets a good team!

Hopefully in his backyard at a steroid abusers family reunion. All other 'roidheads past and present can join him. And what is this about off-the-field controversies? When a player takes steroids to improve his performance, that's an on-the-field controversy in my book.

IF he performs, then confident the AL seems possibly as he can DH extremely than play left container. in spite of the fact that, i don't see every person choosing him up different than perhaps the devil Rays or the Royals in an attempt to spice up their attendance.

As a DH in the American League....and the ones who love him will still love him and the people who despise him now....will despise him wherever he goes.

He said he wants to play next season but I'm not sure where.

I think his reception would be 50%-50%.
Some would welcome him, some would hate him.
