You mean, is the "veil" actually thinner between the worlds of the living and dead, as old wives tales claim?

I have never noticed anything different about that particular day. But if you'll think about it, because of the way we time keep (having to add an extra day every 4 years to "catch up"), it is quite possible that the day we celebrate as Old Souls Day, is off/wrong by a day or two either way.

And don't forget that we have actually gone through two different types of calendars since that holiday was first celebrated by our modern ancestors. Each change being a very large change in the way we keep record of our days.

Yes. Because thats the day during the wheel of the year when the veil between our world and the spirit world is the thinnest. November 1st is Samhain, All Hallows or the witches new year. All Hallows Eve is 31st and thats where the Christains got Halloween.

Actually, no, not really. People, in general, just feel more inclined to notice supernatural happenings on that day, due to the stigmatism surrounding Halloween.

Technically, that day is All Hallow's Eve. The day AFTER was the day celebrated way way back in the day. And, that day was sat aside to allow ghosts of loved ones who'ld passed away the chance to re-enter this plane and visit with us.

Yes, when Halloween rolls around, weird things do happen. It is when the spirits of the dead are allowed to walk the earth. And it is not because people get drunk, nor is it a satanic holiday or evil. Read up on Halloween and you can learn alot~

I think most people notice things more, but only because of the bad rep Halloween (and Friday the 13th) have gotten. A lot of people expect something to happen, so when something little does happen they notice it quicker than if it happened any other day.

Theoretically yes. It has something to do with the wall between this world and the next being weaker and easier to breech from either side. *shrug* Has anything uber-weird happened to me on Halloween? No. But I'm willing to go along with anything that does.

Yes, people like to play dress up and have parties celebrating the day, but condem the day every other night of the year, go figure.

because people go to parties and get drunk and kids get wrapped up in vandelism, things like this happen because not everyone goes trick or treating, theres an age were you get over it and what else are you suppose to do on that night,it is kind of lame to sit around and just hand out candy
