It depends on what kind of worms you are refering to. Earthworms breakup the soil and help decompose matter to help plants grow. Some worms eat plants. some eat roots.

i'm guffawing supplying you with this answer, yet its genuine. The little worms defacate in the soil feeding the plant. many human beings seem to apply it for composting, throwing rubbish, having worms stay in compost, producing waste to feed soil.
