TOMORROW!

October 11Th. National Coming Out Day and the anniversary of the 1986 March on Washington for Gay/Lesbian rights. Which actually occur ed on October 13th.

On Oct. 13, 1987, in Washington, D.C., 600 people were arrested in an act of civil disobedience at the U.S. Supreme Court to protest the "Bowers vs. Hardwick" decision which upheld the constitutionality of Georgia's sodomy law. It was the largest number to participate in an act of civil disobedience since the Vietnam war. (Federal law prohibits protesting on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Date: Thursday October 12, 2006
Time: All Day
Repeat: This event repeats every year.
Type: Anniversary
Reminder: There is a reminder set for 2 days before this event.
Location: Laramie, Wyoming
On Oct. 12, 1998, 21-year-old Matthew Shepard, a Wyoming college student, died of injuries inflicted during a gay bashing.

November 27th, unofficial Harvey Milk Day. A day of remembrance for assassinated San Francisco Board of Supervisors, and for then Mayor Marscone, murdered by former police officer Dan White.

NCOD, as above. I've heard April as gay pride month, but October as gay history month. I don't really know, but April 18 this year is day of silence (not really a holiday, but a noteworthy date). Every city has its own pride parade, which is held sometime in June, commemorating the June 28, 1969 stonewall riot.

Halloween, everyone knows that. October 31st.
National Coming Out Day, October 11th.
Gay pride is celebrated in June because the Stonewall riot was on June 27, 1969.

BTW, it's HOLIDAYS.

Not as such.
There is National coming out day, but that's not so much a holiday as an annual event.
