Does God have more influence on the way you live your life than you think?

I used to think i was an individual that was in total control of my life, for example, i could do what i want, i could be what i want,without outside forces is influencing me in any part of my life.Through my experiences i learned that i was dead wrong, every day is the same crappy day filled with some playfullness, laughter, anger, pain, and sleep.Pain of loosing time (actual time) is the worst pain of all to me. As every momment passes, i hate the concept of time more and more.What i mean is, it would be a great revelation if people became ageless wonders living an eternal life.
God influenced us by giving us thought, emotion, a creative imagination, if we don't use these senses properly, we get diseases, emotional pain, physical pain for example getting hurt while doing something thoughless, etc.God observes us and brings us pain or joy depending on what our action was.This behooves me to be on God's good side. So prayer means so much to me.

Yes, I do believe that God has more influence on the way I live my life. Everything I do , I consider if it the right thing to do in the eyes of God. My life is the example of God creation. The power of praying to him is tremendous. Without the prayers, I wouldn't survive till this day. I've been through many obstacles in my life, and thank to the Lord, I can live a better life with less pain and suffer. So yes, I do believe in God and I always will.

It's true that some ultimate force made us and probably guides us, to a certain degree. We have no control over when or how we come into this world. We have no idea where we'll go when we leave it. But we do have free will and influence over what we do while we're here and/or how we live our lives.

We come into this world with nothing, we leave with nothing. Everything in between is up to us. We are truly in the garden of eden...yet some of us just don't get it until it's way too late.

That's just the thing, many people see God as some authoritarian being who brings misery on persons especially sinners when He's not!!we bring misery to our own lives with our choices that are contrary to God's purposes for us.The only way God has any influence in our lives is if we invite Him to and your prayer should not be said out of fear but out of faith knowing that if you repent of your sins and make a decision to live better God knows your heart and will help you!!!!!!!

He will not volunteer the information, but if you ask, He will tell you, if you listern.God does not give us thought, emotion, and so on. Imagination is a gift from God, but if you choose to use it the wrong way, then you have to take responsibility for your actions and suffer the consequences of your choices. God does not give us pain and suffering, He allows it to happen. He does not bring us pain or joy depending upon our actions; we do that to ourselves, however, if you talk to God and ask for help, then He will help you get through what you are enduring. Think of God as the perfect parent. If your child chooses to do something that is going to hurt them, you can continuously get them out of trouble or you can allow the child to experience the hurt so that they will not do it again. God is a loving parent.

I too once did not want death thought how wonderful to never die but experience life forever and I would not get bored or tired of living BUT reality is that we all die , it is unavoidable and since that is our reality wanted to find out as much as I could about the thereafter and began reading all the books,stories (besides the Bible) of those who had near death experiences-die but told not their time and have to come back and found that not scary but the brightest light and enveloping love and those they loved and had already dies were there to ease the transition so there would be no fear and none wanted to come back but had to but everyone of these people when the came back to life had gained knowledge and a sense of peace and all were affected for the better. Except those who had not been very nice people no bright light but dark,foreboding enveloped them and demons(the rebellious angelsl)came to take them to a state of seeing their life-all did even those who were enveloped by love, they saw all their actions,decisions and how they treated the people they came in contact with and actually felt how their actions made the people feel----one man who had been abusing his wife not only saw him verbally abuse ,strike and so on his wife but felt her emotions,felt her pain and the place where he was was devoid totally of joy,of hope but was utter despair at the knowldge that his Choices had lost him God and Love but always now-for all chances to be sorry gone once we die, despair. Bet he was glad that he also was told that this was his life so far-not his time yet and had to come back and he also changed tremendously for the better. I also read that because shown to some,the thereafter is not just existing but further seeking knowledge in other worlds(other planes of existence,that when one thinks of being somewhere one is-time travel and I for one am looking forward(being a animal , nature lover) to the time when the lamb shall lay beside the lion, when there is no pain,no illness,no dying.

I can't answer the question. Because if he does affect my life more than I think, then the answer is yes. But I can't think he affects my life more than I think, because I already think he affects my life to this certain degree.
