Now we all know why he stays out side drinking and not inside with you. You are way to possessive. Hell with a woman like you I will be out there with him and I will bring the beer. Does he know you are asking this question, I think that i will tell him.

I can thankfuly say no my husband dont drink and he does spends time with me when he is home.He is a over the road truck driver so what time we have together is cherished. My neihghbor is 21 with a 3yr old and a 13 month old.It upsets me to see all the drinking that goes on inside and outside of that house.Money is low but plenty of money for beer.My neighbor wants time with her man so bad but beer is first in his life, then his job, then his friends, and Im not sure if his wife and kids even rank in his life.

Yes it used to bother me but now I go outside and drink with him, just look at it as that is some time to cool down after being at work all day, go out and join him you might begin to like it I know I do especially after the kids are in bed that is our ALONE time. If you dont like to drink then I guess this answer doesnt help.

Been there done that.....the question is....would you rather he be out drinking with his buddies and acting like a jerk or at home drinking by himself acting like a jerk in front of the kids (if you have any)?

Personally I would have preferred it if my ex would have taken his boozing to the bar rather than at home in front of his children.

Sounds to me like you need to get him to some AA meetings and get his head screwed on the right way. But remember, once an alcoholic always an alcoholic. I don't know what it is with men these days and the attraction to be out with the boys chugging them back rather than spending quality time at home with their wives and children.

They are sick and need help, but ultimately they are the only ones who can help themselves.

Good luck :)

Check this out...

A couple of newly weds return after honeymoon into their new house and the husband explain to his new wife his rules...

Monday through Thursday I work late so don't stay up for me.
Fridays I go out with the guys so don't stay up for me.
Saturdays are game days so don't' stay up for me either.
But Sundays.... ahh... Sundays I'm all yours. The Husband said.

The wife staring at him said, Well I only have one rule in my house, and that is that in this house I f*ck every night at eight o'clock with or with out you.

I don't have a husband that does that, but my stepdad did that to my mom. It sucked...it practically destroyed our family.

It took him getting sent to Iraq and being sent home due to injury to make him see the error of his ways. Deep down he had issues with my mom and was conflicted in how he felt about her (she became disabled in their 4th year together).

But I think now that he has opened up things are getting much better. Good luck to you...

Your husband may have a stressful day at work. Sometimes a drink is what you need to unwind. You may want to invite him to do something with you. You can have a date night or something and see how he takes that. Try not to come across as nagging. That might push him away. Good luck!

I watched my best friend go thru this, and 2 years after getting married, she got divorced. make sure he understands how you feel about it, without yelling at him. if he has a real problem with drinking, get him some help. good luck!
