How long has it been since Bush said "Mission Accomplished"?

And...

What was that mission?

In a war there are many missions. The mission in question was of the crew of the aircraft carrier he was speaking on. This crew had served their time on station and were heading home. Their "mission" was complete and this is what he was celebrating with them. He was speaking about the end of major warfare in Iraq during this speach. It was the end of air and sea attacks and the beginning of the boots on the ground war.

Its true that many more lives and been lost since then, and the war's end is no where in sight. But isn't it more important to concentrate on winning the war instead of some Senators instant messages to a page, or what Bush might have meant in his mission accomplished speech? People need to start banning together and support the president and lets get this war won.

The mission was to topple Saddam. So far we won the war and are losing the peace.
