France was a little cranky when the new came in -- but France is often in a bad mood.

Later in the day, France had a nice lunch and a glass of wine and felt much better about it.

Why does France's thoughts make any difference? As far as that goes, why should we get approval from any of the UN thugs? They all want someone else to do the fighting for them. The European nations are so over run with Muslims now that most of them will wake up one morning with knives at their throats demanding they convert to Islam. And what makes me concerned is that the people in these countries do not seem to care and they are denying the US help because they are so peeved that we would dare go into Iraq without their approval. Yes, we have detractors even in the USA but maybe we have a majority of sensible people.

This is a somewhat strangely worded question, but nevertheless, at least it is interesting!

Obviously I can't speak for the whole UN, but you should consider the fact that American foreign policy should have UN approval before any action takes place. In the light of current events, there is now a great deal of anti-American feeling across the world as you are seen as having acted in a belligerent fashion by taking unilateral action in other sovereign states.

Your government has grossly underestimated the difficulties involved in pursuing their aggressive foreign policies and you are now reaping the whirlwind of the Muslim backlash - this is not to be taken lightly and it is a problem that you are going to have to deal with for a very long time.

Being a Superpower is fine for open warfare - but as the British discovered in Ireland and the Russians discovered in Afghanistan, Superpower is not so effective against determined terrorists/freedom fighters (depends on your viewpoint). You should have learned that lesson from Vietnam.

Who cares what France thinks. They have never been a strong supporter for anyone but themselves.
