Oh that BITES! I had that happen once to me, too!
I hope you didn't pay too much for it (in my case, I lost $700 and the guy disappeared and never used his ebay account again)!!
I would bring it up to ebay. Try to track the money order by the receipt number (I think you might be able to do this if it was western union - or check with your bank if you used one from them).
Go thru the dispute resolution with Ebay, as well as the community and message boards.
If that doesn't resolve things, then leave bad feedback!

I got ripped off from eBay once.
If you're truly being ripped off, you need to keep a record of proof of payment.
Somewhere in "My eBay", you can file a report with eBay and they will either get the person to refund you, or they will personally pay up to 175 dollars. The process takes some time, but the eBay people were VERY helpful and side with the buyer, not the seller.
However, do not place too much trust in the USPS. Just stay in contact with the guy - it's possible he genuinely has not received the money order yet.
I apologize for not being able to provide links or anything...it was some time ago I had to go through the whole process.

When paying for an item on ebay be sure to put some kind of tracking on your mail Also if you are using money orders use something that you can track if it was cashed. You should check with the place you purchased the money order or look on the receipt for the money order to see if there is a customer service number to check if it was cashed. Postal money orders are very good for this. So check to see if the money order was cashed.
Also checking the feedback rating for a seller is a good indicator. If the seller has many negative feedbacks I would stay away from them.
Ebay has a problem resolution area for problems such as yours if you are unable to resolve the problem any other way.

I've gotten ripped off back before music downloading got popular and I thought I was buying a real cd album but ended up getting a burned copy with a sticker on it (seller claimed it was a mistake and I got a refund) also another seller sold me a cd single instead of an album as listed. It took me so long to get a response from him. I had to leave a negative feedback to get him to respond to me. I got a refund then also.
However, in your case, if you have your stub, you can track whether it was cashed. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with money orders and will NEVER use one again unless its from a bank (someone stole over $500 from my husband and I and the company never fixed it, they just kept giving us the runaround before and after it was cashed. I will NEVER forget that.).
The longest it took for an ebay item to get to me was 11 business days via USPS. So I would like another users suggested wait a few more days then file a claim with eBay.

I heard on the news a month ago somebody bought a Mercedes car on EBay for about £5,000 Sterling. The seller demanded payment in cash and arranged to meet the buyer. Actually there was no car for sale and when the buyer turned up with the cash, they were mugged.
I always use pay-pal, if things go wrong you can always put in a claim.

Yes, I have. But a week is not very long... so give them at least 10 days and then be persistent about if they received your payment or not. If after 14 days, start a complaint with eBay against them. Continue to be
persistent... it pays off. Good luck!

wait..... sometimes it takes time, especially during holidays. Also, before you buy something on e-bay. Check the selllers feedback. Actually read them because positives and negatives don't tell you enough. The truth is that if they say they have not received it. You can't do anything about it. You should have purchased delivery confirmation for the money order. It will look bad on you when they leave negative feedback for failure to pay.

if you're smart, you would have kept the stub of the money order that was sent. banks, currency exchanges, stores, or whereeever you have have bought the moneyorder from keep track of them and are able to tell you if has been cashed. if it's been cashed then the dude is rippin you off.

Email every day & ask them if they have received it. Request their phone # from ebay.
Give them a few more days before you call - the mail was off a day for columbus day - that may have slowed down the delivery of your letter/money order.
ebay only seems to help you if you use paypal (that sucks - i know)
good luck!

Always use Priority Mail/w tracking/signature, so you can trace its deliver/signature. The post office has online tracking. Don't lose the tracking number.
