A two week notice is not a requirement but a courtesy and should be practiced and given to every employer everywhere...whether you like him or not. It shows good breeding and good character....and is never wise to burn your bridges when it comes to earning a living wage.

If PA is an "at-will employment" state or you signed an at-will employment agreement, it is a courtesy and not a requirement. However if you want to keep a good employmet record, you're better off to give a notice of some sort.

It's just courtesy unless it's stated somewhere in a contract if u signed one. If u plan on using them for a reference give the notice-but it's no law

Courtesy, you will also not get a bad reference to your next job. They may call and want to know why that job did not work out, it just looks better if you gave a notice.
