Just starting out with trading stocks and I was just wondering if anyone knew any good stocks to try out.

Nobody can tell you which stocks are going to escalate. If that was the case, everybody would simply do that for a living :)

Stocks on the Australian Stock Exchange, especially the mining/resources stocks are especially volatile and can double or halve their price daily...

You need a plan for evaluating either price movement or fundamental value. The point is, you need a plan, not someone else's opinion. Get back in the books.
