Sea lions have a longer neck than seals. A seal basically has no neck at all.

The main differences are:
a)Sea-lions are larger in size.
b)Sea-lions live in much warmer areas.
c)The ear of a sea-lion can be seen but the ear of a seal is covered in fur for which it cannot be seen.

Sea lions have ears or pinnae, and can get around on land easily:

The genus and species names are different.Sea lions are larger in size.They have rounded snout and their fur is courser and shorter. Seals have longer flippers,
