Assuming, you are asking about 2 GB, then there are 1,024 MB in 1 GB. Computers use powers of 2 instead of powers of 10, so 1,024 = 2 ^ 10. There is also 1,024 B (bytes) in a MB, so, a GB is equal to the equivalent of 1,024 squared or 1,048,576 B.
After multiplying by two for 2 GB, then you'd have 2,097,152 B.
However, if that still means nothing to you, then figure that the typical song runs about 3 - 5 MB. And if you were to divide that out of 2,048 ( 2 * 1,024 MB ), then you'd get an approximate idea of how many songs you could get on that iPod.
