Because they hate to hold on to their junk after they used it.
They always seem to forget where the trash can is, even if it's under their noses.
They are also afraid to place them in their purses, pocket, ect, because it might mess it up, so where do they throw it?

This is an easy one, because they are typically lazy, and not caring or ignorant of the potential damage they are doing too the environment.
