It's a sad state of affairs. The truth of the matter is, with legislation like no child left behind, the atmosphere for education (even at university level) has taken the power from the educator and given it to the student.

Cheating is a zero tolerance issue if you get caught. Evidently, you think that these cheaters are not getting caught. The sad thing is that the people who are doing the cheating are actually cheating themselves out of an excellent learning experience. Someday they are going to have to use the information they are taking shortcuts on and are going to wish they had not taken the shortcut and had learned the material. I have seen promotions go to those who did not cheat because the ones who did, do not know the material they need to get ahead. And if you get caught cheating in college, especially plagiarism, you can go to jail and even prison; you get kicked out of college and it goes on your record (the one the employers use to check up on you, to check for verification and all that good stuff). So cheating does not pay; you lose out all the way around.

I went back to college at 30, and I can't say that is the case at all..
All work had to be run through a website to make sure it wasn't plagiarized, all programming code was looked up to make sure it wasn't copied...
Just adhere to your own moral code, and ignore everyone else. You are doing right, and will succeed AFTER the exams, in real life.

How is it that its accepted?
If that board of appeals were not there, than any teacher could accuse a student of cheating for whatever reason. There are teachers capable of that.
You think its okay to accuse someone of cheating without evidence?

maximum people who get bigger training cheat. you quite think of human beings can learn for all those instructions, do initiatives, homework, papers, examine, paintings, and volunteer? it quite is humanly impossible. additionally, cheating is a demonstration of intelligence and skill to multitask and get issues finished. cheating is quite a hidden and not spoke of classification in college. the better human beings get, the extra they cheat. it quite is unhappy because of the fact it hurts the little ones who truly learn confusing and are truthful.

It is probably how most of the instructors/professors managed to pass their classes. Some of mine were horrible, a lot of the students know more about the classes they were being "taught".

cheating is everywhere and is completely out of control. past tests, book solutions, and past homework are available from 2000 on and it's hugely helpful when taking a class. it definitely needs to be regulated, but regulation cannot keep up to current technologies.
