We can detect planets on the other side of the sun due to differences in revolution speeds and affects on other planets and planetary bodies. Even if it was traveling at a speed and distance from the sun that made it always invisible from Earth (impossibly unlikely), the affects on orbits of other bodies would give it away. The definition of planets has also been made more strict: Must be on the same plane or revolution as the 8 solar system planets.
If you are talking about outside of our solar system, no one disputes the fact that there are other planets revolving around other stars.

You ask a question of great gravity, my son. Great gravity, indeed. The other side of the sun is known by the assorted masses - hence gravity - involved in the galaxy. These are interpreted through orbits and variations.
The astronomical powers can put the Vatican anywhere they want and they will look just as silly as they did with Pluto and Daffy Duck.

Due to gravitational interactions between Earth and Vulcan, Vulcan would not stay on the far side of the Sun. Given enough time, it would drift from the 180 degree point on the opposite side of the Sun and come to rest at a Lagrange point 60 degrees from the Earth where it would be clearly visible.

it incredibly is my feeling perfect now. So I hate this international perfect now. because of the fact of tiny issues, call me paranoic, yet, i will no longer be able to stand this international packed with assholes anymore. human beings are the worst race. Animals kill for instinct. human beings kill because of the fact they take excitement in it. My opinion may be somewhat out of concentration, additionally because of the fact i'm no longer solid with words and words do no longer completely describe what i've got self assurance. So i'm atheist, vegan, and bisexual. human beings have self assurance in god, consume meat, and hate homosexuals and lesbians. what's incorrect with this international? i'm no longer asserting that i'm the final man or woman ever... yet i'm no longer a douchebag. I born in a international the place the sky is something to video exhibit and know, and there's a few human beings believing there's a paradise up there. I mentioned too plenty already, yet it incredibly is unquestionably what i think of; and sorry if i'm lacking something. i admire existence and that i got here upon my reason to stay, yet I could agree on your question/afirmation: I deeply hate this international. If human beings end to open their eyes, if all of us agree faster or later, this may be extra useful. yet no... douchebagery is everywhere. it incredibly is the human race human beings, the race that obtained experience of right and incorrect is the worst residing being, a minimum of, in the international. see you later, it incredibly is my opinion.

If there were planets on the other side of the sun, then we would see them because at some point we would be across from them due to gravity and distance, unless it had the exact same mass as us, down to the milligram, and was the exact same distance from the sun as we are, down to the centimeters.

well, in 6 months, why don't you look around and see if you can see the other planets you claim exist?

Also, we can tell by the effects on the other planets... they respond to gravity, and if another planet was out there, we'd see it in perturbations of the other planets' orbits.
