Here's one I heard of just yesterday. Car lacked power and accelerated really slowly. They tried a few things like you did but nothing worked. Reason was the accelerator cable was loose and the pedal was only part opening the throttle. Readjusted and tightened and all was good.

There are too many possibilities to even try to narrow it down without much more information. It could be a bad sensor (such as an 02 sensor. It could be a problem with the plugs or wires. It could be a clogged catalytic converter. It could be bad gas!

A computer scan will tell you if there are any fault codes being set. This is a good place to start, but it is going to take some time and effort!

One side note, most technicians are not going to work very hard to diagnose a problem, so someone else can fix it. If you can not diagnose the problem yourself, (due to lack of specialized tools and training) you should pay someone who can to do the complete repair job!

Check the fuel filter and you didn't say what model it is. If it's injected check for clog ed injectors also check the plugs' If it is not skipping it is more likely fuel delivery.

I think his/your best choice is to take it to a GM dealer and let them check it out. It could be MANY things. Good luck. Pops
