Not sure what you mean by full-bodied, but Aspidistra, or Cast Iron Plant takes little light. They are not always easy to find, but you may find one in your garden center. Its dark green and has sword-like leaves that may be 2' tall. Lucky Bamboo doesn't need much light and is almost maintenance free - just put it in water. They can be found just about anywhere. Rubber Plant may be the full-bodied plant you want. Partial sun preferred. Can grow tall and should be in your garden center. I hope you find what you want.

Some one has already mentioned Cast Iron Plant (Aspidistra), but also look at Peace Lily (Spathephyllum) and Chinese Evergreen (Aglonema). They all make good low light choices.
Snake Plant (Sanseveria) is also a good choice, but a little 'architectural' with it's ridged leaf shape.
All of these (except the Cast Iron Plant) are easy to find, and relatively inexpensive. Be aware that the common names of plants vary a little, so be armed with a picture, and or some other names (including the Latin name).
Good luck-

A wandering Jew. Not sure of the scientific name.
My mother has one that was in Grandmas basement when she died 14 years ago and we don't even know how long it was down there for.
Mom took a clipping to a co-worker who took it to flower pro who hadn't seen one of this particular version of the Wandering Jew in over 10 plus years. He was so excited that he called my mother up and asked for his own clipping.
She forgets to water it all the time and its doing a great job. Plus she also has another Wandering Jew and a Spider plant that both are prospering.

Try a Spider plant. I have one in my basement family room which has only one small window, and it's doing very well. It's also a plant that I forget to water, and it's been growing there for 5 years!

Get a "zypia" plant. They don't need water but about twice per year. Mother-in-law tongues are great also. Do not over water.

Try a fake silk plant you never have to water it and you can keep it next to the window all you want. Maintenance free. Most of them even look real.
