the factors of 15 are any number that goes into 15 evenly....
1X15=15 so 1 & 15 are factors of 15
3X 5 = 15 so 3 & 5 are factors of 15
so the whole number factors of 15 are 1,15,3,5
those are the only whole number factors of 15.....
if you are looking for integer factors of 15 you would also include
-1,-15,-3,-5

3,5. Do a factor tree and the last numbers that can only be multiplied by 1 and equal itself are the factors of your main number. When you break down 15 it can only be multiplied by 5 and 3. Which cannot be broken down any further.
