Asians, Middle Easterners, or Latin Americans stare sooo much!

I shouldn't pinpoint those three groups only; I must admit that most all foreigners will STARE at you for long periods of time and don't seem to feel anything negative about doing it.

It seems that the typical response, to stare back in an exaggerated fashion does nothing to check them...Is it only in America that we learn to not stare?

Pls advise if you are smart enough to know the answer and not sensitive to anything not P.C.

Oh my goodness, I noticed that too!!! It makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes. I live in a mostly Latino neighborhood, and when it kept happening I asked my husband why do they stare so much. He just said that It's what they do. But alot of people think that me and my husband are Latino. Because sometimes they will speak to us in Spanish. When I first saw my husband I thought that he was Spanish. He told me that I could pass for Dominican. Some of my Latino neighbors said the same thing. But we are both African-Amercian. But I also have Indian and Irish blood. My husband has Indian and Jewish blood.

Ummm....cause Americans do the same in other countries? If you have ever been on a cruise or a tour or just in an area with a lot of American tourists in another country, they stare too. The reason people go on tours or vacations ot other places is to see something new. IF they see something for the first time, you think they are just going to glance at it and look away, placated?

It is a cultural difference. There are a lot more countries out there other than the united states(if you hadnt noticed), people are different, they learn different values and customs. just dont be rude about it, they think americans are just as weird as Some americans think they are. open your mind and embrace different cultures, you will learn a lot from it if you do. blessed be.

Its a cultural habit really, and should not be taken as an insult but as a compliment. However, you need to be cautious too, you may return the look back once but not twice as you might be stalked.

Maybe it's in their cultures to stare.
Americans are thought not to stare because it's rude, but maybe they stare to know a person better.

I never noticed that they do stare a lot. Maybe they stare at you because you are beautiful and attractive to them :)

maybe they find you particularly attractive.by the way you left out east indians, some cultures do not teach their children to NOT be rude. it can be quite taxing, but i've learned to ignore it .if it gets too bad i WILL ask them what the F' they're looking at?

Why are you staring at them? You must be staring at them to know they are staring at you!
