In the holidays i work as a stable hand in the hunter valley! Im not sure if your from australia or america, so im not sure what the wages are etc.

I worked 6 days a week, 2 hours a day cleaning the stables and feeding the horses, on the weekends i spent 3 to 4 hrs as the horses were being worked and needed cooling etc, i saved up in 2 weeks about $400.00, thats on a stable hand wage.

Im now doing a Equestrian Coach course, and i love it!

Basically, what im saying is that horse trainers are all over the place, but instructors are rare, especially when they cover nearlly all bases.

I think yes, it would be enough to buy and upkeep a horse, however, you will have to save for about a month or two then you would have enough.
I hope it works out!

If you get a job like that then negotiate horse board as part of your pay, but be prepared to muck a lot of stalls before that kind of position becomes available to you.
Try looking in papers etc...for a free lease on a horse, they are out there and quite often the board is split 50/50.

That depends on the area of the country one lives in and how good a trainer/barn manager one is.

You need to be qualified to do either of the afore mentioned jobs..
I have trained for 30 years,,, I have had days I could have bought any horse I wanted,,, other times I could have ate him because of a lack of income..... Take lessons... work hard..
Get intelligent..... then when you can budget the money,, buy the horse,,, that's just the cheap part. other expenses are mandatory.
