MD 1 was a geopolitical expansion concept. MD The Sequel is not so much about geographical expansion, although we welcome the opportunity to put miliitary bases anywhere. Rome had Pax Romana where peace was enforced around the Med. After 2 WW, I think America has moved toward an Americana Libertas view of the world/our role. Liberty requires too much sacrifice and learning for most of the world so I suspect we will be gradually retreating into an new age of isolationism.

um, what we will be spreading will not be democracy.

It will be a global corporate cooperation, we will be spreading consumerism.
How this will effect the environment is anyone's guess.
