I posted another question (which is still open, called "Last night I had a dream") about this topic, and got minimal response. In order to not be considered racist, I feel I must clarify. I have noticed that many other cultures do have a sense of unity, and have organized groups of top minds from many feilds to tackle global problems, and to get ideas flowing. I'm wondering why nothing like this exists for Blacks, and whywe seem to have no real sense of unity. Is anyone brave enough to seriously answer this question? If a group or groups like this do exist, I would love to be informed.

I don't just mean groups that get together to talk about the weather, I mean serious groups designed to solve serious social, economic and political problems. The Million Man Maarch does not even come close to the kind of orginization I am talking about. Any ideas?

OAU the organiaztion of African Unity is a social justice group comprised of the smartest African men and women in the country that seek reunification of the community. The Pan African Student Union is an organization of young blacks that seek to enlighten the children of the next generations of their cultures. The The African Union(not the same as OAU) is an organization that seeks to bring together all blacks based on the idea that we are as a people one nation. No matter the shade of black that we are. This organization is actually granting any black dual citizenship to African countries.

I'm not black, and I agree with you that "many other cultures do have a sense of unity." But I don't think that other ethnicities have a sense of unity any more than blacks do. See what I'm saying?
Cultures and ethnicities are two different things.
Now, people in NASCAR culture have a sense of unity.
People in reggae culture hae a sense of unity.
People in basketball culture have a sense of unity.
But ethnicities as a whole don't seem to have a sense of unity, only sub-cultures within those ethnicities.
