I know the history of the bags, I appreciate fashion and craftsmanship of the French fashion house but I honestly think the kelly and birkin are very impractical, ugly and would only think to buy one if I was insane, rich, saw it as an investment and felt like showing off. If you collect them or favor them I'd like a different point of view of why you like them?

they are well made and can easily be paired with almost anything- causal or formal and can hold so much w/o looking bulky. i own one and it IS a thing to show your high society almost all wealthy women have one since it is so practical

I don't own one, but I can only suspect that owning one reveals that you are at the top of society and of economic class since it's one of the most expensive bags out there and owning one is just a status symbol, just like any other high fashion brand.

i think they are very sensible. there was one on gilmore girls that rory got. i like it. they aren't too flashy but they add some class to you.
