No Sir; in fact, just the opposite. They were enemies of the Jews. There were called the Israelites back then. God ordered the Israelites to destroy the Palestine's (Heathens) because they worshiped idols and had human sacrifices; especially babies and children.
Read the Samson and Delilah Story in the Bible found in Judges chapter 13 and you will see my friend.
